Thomas M. Klein successfully finished his Ph.D. dissertation on “Visual Communication of Ecosystem Services”

In his Ph.D. project Thomas M. Klein investigated user demands and technical requirements for web-based spatial decision support systems (DSS) and geographic information systems (GIS) to provide and communicate ecosystem service data. The needs identified by requirements engineering approaches allow user experience (UX) or user centered designs (UCD) of such applications to support users in their decision-making by providing ecosystem services information more efficiently and extensive.
