New PhD student in the EU-project MOSAIC

Jan Hartman has joined the group to research land use decisions in the Swiss alps under climate change conditions.

His previous position was as a natural catastrophe data scientist with a focus on ground-up analyses of climate risks. Before that, he read environmental sciences with a major in environmental policy at ETH Zürich, focusing on energy systems and climate adaptation. He is particularly interested in numerical models that integrate social sciences, normative assumptions, and physical realities. His profile can be found here.
